about
Tata Vladii is a contemporary artist based in Barcelona, Spain.
Her practice explores the transformation of energy and meaning through industrial objects, focusing on the shift from rigid, utilitarian forms to soft, tactile, and interior-oriented sculptural pieces. Working with decommissioned fire extinguishers — objects originally designed for pressure, control, and emergency — she extends their life by transforming them into art objects that complement and soften interior spaces.
By combining durable metal with the fragility of plaster relief, her work creates a dialogue between strength and vulnerability, structure and fluidity, the industrial and the organic. Hard, static lines are gradually transformed into flowing, natural surfaces, reflecting an energetic transition from tension to calm.
Each object embodies the idea of life continuation: materials destined for disposal and metal recycling are reimagined as unique sculptural forms. Through this process, Tata Vladi offers a new narrative — one in which function gives way to form, and energy is preserved, softened, and reborn.
